About Our Process

We offer various levels of BlueGAP team engagement tailored
to specific customer needs.

Brainstorming

BlueGAP strategically identifies BlueGAP member(s) to partner with a client as a team. The BlueGAP team members will provide a human-centered approach to raising awareness, empowering communities to take action, and driving change on solutions to complex problems.

Services may include onboarding consultation, 3-5 team calls/meetings, and advising on BlueGAP’s services and materials most suitable for achieving the client’s goals (i.e., alliance membership, information system, educational resources, eco documentaries, and more).

Collaboration

BlueGAP team member(s) will lead a client team through the identification and use of various tools from BlueGAP’s currently available options, along with co-support of a client’s original ideas.

Services may include those associated with the Brainstorming package, plus additional instruction/support suitable to fulfill the collaborative efforts.

Co-Creation

BlueGAP team members will be fully integrated into a client team, teaching them and building their capacity with BlueGAP’s approach/process and currently available options. The client team members will collaboratively develop action plans for working in/with specified communities. BlueGAP will have an essential role in identifying the scale/unit at which action/advocacy may best be planned and carried out

Services may include all aspects of the Brainstorming and Collaboration packages, along with other supportive services.

The BlueGAP Alliance

Made up of specially selected community “Champions” that join forces with BlueGAP to develop original project concepts, BlueGAP guides and supports their plan of action to bring the project to fruition. While on this journey, BlueGAP Alliance members share stories, scientific data, visual tools, and resources for watersheds that BlueGAP integrates into its’ programming/services to empower creating a more sustainable Blue Economy, rich with robust and healthy livelihoods.

The BlueGAP Academy

Bringing together Alliance members and other “Champions” from the community with researchers and professionals, The Academy is the living laboratory where we help local communities catalyze action to reduce nitrogen pollution. Activities are driven by community “Champions” and often BlueGAP utilizes Convergence Research methods for a more solid foundation of support.
